Ministry of Food
NewSong Community Church supports the NewStarts Project by helping to keep the NewStarts Pantry stocked with food and toiletry items which can be given away to those in desperate need in our community.
The items most needed are:
Baked beans
Breakfast cereal
Coffee
Freeze dried meals (mashed potato & noodles)
Gravy granules
Pasta & pasta sauce
Rice and curry sauce
Salt, pepper & vinegar
Sauces, brown & tomato
Sugar
Tea
Toiletries, soap, shampoo, toothpaste and brushes
Tinned desserts (rice pudding & custard)
Tinned meals
This list is not exhaustive and and anything else which has a long shelf life and needs no refrigeration will be most welcome. Please bring your items to one of the Ministry of Food Gift Events which are held every four weeks at Church.
On Ministry of Food Gift Days a display will be made of the items collected; cake and biscuits will be on sale before and after Rhythms of Life, and shopping bags will be available for you to take home and bring back (full!) on the next Gift Day.
