"Serving The Community"

Would you like to be part of an event that shows God's love by serving the community of Bromsgrove in exciting, out of the ordinary and practical ways? Servant evangelism is a simple, straightforward approach to sharing God's love in simple, practical ways.  This concept was first used by Steve Sjogren and several people from the Vineyard Community Church in Cincinnati, USA.

The concept is simple. On a regular basis the aim is to go out into the community of Bromsgrove and show that God's love can be shown in practical ways. One of the core values of NewSong is "Building a heart for the community."

We believe that the church should and must be connected increasingly with the community around us. It should bring hope to those who are discouraged, food and clothes for those who are needy and friendship, love and support to those who are lonely.

As we build bridges between the church and the community and extend the love, acceptance and forgiveness of God, people will be drawn to Jesus. As the community becomes saturated with the presence of these deeds of kindness, people in the community will perhaps be surprised, dubious and perhaps a little sceptical, but as we continue to plant seeds of kindness God's love will start to grow all over this town.
