A visit to Indian Creek Church

In August I visited Indian Creek Church to work as an 'intern' for two weeks.  I had a fantastic time.  

While away I worked and helped out at many different locations: I spent time at the Shepard Community Centre, packing food and distributing food packages.  I also spent a lot of time in the Church office helping the office staff, with whatever was required.  I participated in big church community events.

Most of the church got involved in different activities and a large group of people including me helped to build houses – it was definitely a new experience! One Sunday I had a special role in a children’s drama.

I am planning to study law at university and I got the chance to work with a probation officer and visit court rooms, which has given me lots of experience.

It was such a great trip, the most important thing for me was the friendships I made and the people I met.  It was so good to meet so many Christians of my own age.

I am so glad I got this opportunity!
