Getting Some Rhythm into Your Life!
One of the joys of belonging to a Christian community is the opportunity to meet together regularly to catch up on what’s going on in each other’s lives, to hear what God’s doing in the extended neighbourhood, to give thanks and to worship Him for all that, and then to explore, with a purpose, where we fit in to the way ahead.
The main weekly ‘get-together’ event at NewSong Community Church is called “Rhythms of Life” and it tries to reflect the rhythms that flow through all of our lives.
An outline of "Rhythms of Life” is set out below, but check out the many other 'one-off' and regular activities taking place both inside and (importantly) out of the church by having a peek around the site and a look at the Calendar. The Calendar is available to everyone via the "Home" drop-down menu above.
Sunday Morning - 10.45am
"Rhythms of Life" worship event
From the moment you enter "Rhythms of Life" you may just recognise it as 'church' - but perhaps not as you might ever have known it in the past! This is worship with a 21st century accent! Thoughtful, inspirational worship, which is coupled with sound, practical, Bible-based teaching to make this an event for everyone wanting to get some rhythm into their lives, to get alongside and to grow their lives with God!
 There’ll be friendly faces, a welcoming smile, free coffee and a relaxed, comfortable environment, which all make for a surprising change to the cold, boring, un-interesting places most people know of as 'church'. The NewSong children's groups, AdventureLand and the Crèche, also meet for the duration of Rhythms of Life, so bring all the family! If you need help with children when you arrive just have a word with the Welcome Host at the Welcome Desk just inside the door. The church buildings (and the people!) are wheelchair friendly.
 The good news is that Rhythms of Life doesn't start at the crack of dawn! So, have a lie-in and come along for about half ten-ish. The event starts at 10.45am, but getting there a bit earlier gives you time for a coffee! The event often includes a film clip or two, some powerful drama, a couple of PowerPoint presentations, contemporary music played by our own excellent band of musicians and a talk aimed at really getting some rhythm into our lives!
 More good news! Part of the Christian life of every regular member of NewSong Community Church is the opportunity to give back to the work of the Church, as God has provided to them. So, we have a collection of gifts during each Rhythms of Life event. This is done by passing a basket amongst those present. As our guest we don't expect you to make any contribution at all - Rhythms of Life is our gift to you! Simply pass the basket on. If you do want to put something in the basket, that's fine, and thank you. If you would like to tell us a little about yourself please use a "Getting Connected Card" (which you'll find on your seat when you arrive), and pop that in the basket too!
A typical Rhythms of Life event lasts for about an hour and a quarter, but it’s packed full of life changing insights into what God means to us personally, so come along ready to grow! You'll find practical answers to your questions and opportunities to explore where your life is going.
 One of the best ways to find out if you’re going to enjoy something is to give it a try! So come along and give Rhythms of Life a whirl!
