Why NewSong?

When God calls you to a church that is committed to building relationships, committed to preaching the Gospel in a relevant way, committed to worship of the highest standard, how can you say no? I said a big yes!

Testimony:

Although I attended Sunday school as a child, I was never in any church between the age of 10 and 20. I first came in contact with Christians at Heriot Watt University when I was studying Chemical Engineering. It was only when a good friend at university started to tell me about Jesus that I learned who he really was. For the first time I realised that Christianity was all about a relationship with God rather than a set of rules. When I saw that God is a loving Father who wants the best for me, who wants to guide me, encourage me, help me become the fullest person I can be, it was much easier to let God be in the driving seat of my life. Although I’m still a bit of a back seat driver, God’s been ‘driving’ and guiding me for almost 30 years.

Hobbies:

My interests are keeping fit, watching TV and, believe it or not, shopping!!.

Favourite Scripture verse:

If God is for us, who can be against us……
No, in all things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life nor angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
